Learn tech by breaking things.
From your first git commit to Kubernetes, the CNCF toolbox, neural networks and how vLLM serves a language model. Every lesson is something you can poke, break and fix - right here in your browser.
31 lessons ready, 1 more being written. Nothing to install.
This is the exact name git would give that text as a file:
…Change one letter. The whole name changes - that is how git knows what changed without reading every byte. See it in your first commit.
Real-hash git, a cluster that self-heals and crashes, a neural network you can watch learn, a model server you can overload.
Missions, quizzes and challenges earn XP, ranks and streaks - from Explorer to Architect. Kept in your browser, nowhere else.
Each infrastructure lesson ends with the same thing on a real cluster, using the open tilt platform and its graded labs.
Eight trails
Save every version of everything, and never fear an experiment again.
DNS, HTTP and TLS - and why a 200 can still be broken.
A process that thinks it is alone - and the images that ship it.
A machine for keeping promises - and reading why it could not.
GitOps, observability, meshes and policy - the tools that run the tools.
A function with knobs, and the maths that turns them.
Tokens, attention, and why serving a model is a memory problem.
Agents, alignment and superintelligence - what is known, and what is not.
Works on the computer you have
Free learning sites usually die on the cost of hosting a lab machine for every learner. This one never hosts compute: your browser does the work, so it costs the same for ten learners or ten million - nothing - and no lesson's points are locked behind hardware.
Any laptop, Chromebook or phone. Nothing to install, nothing leaves your device.
Optional extras that need WebGPU or a bit more memory. The page checks first and tells you plainly if your device cannot.
The real tools via TemplateMechanics/tilt: Docker, kind and Tilt. About 15 GB of free disk and 8 GB of RAM to spare for the full platform.
For when your machine cannot run the platform: a dev container on your own free cloud quota. Planned, not built yet.
